When Connie Haukom, the American Legion Post 566 manager took her comments to Facebook, little did she know the impact she was about to make! This morning at 11:30 AM, the local Channel 9 news contacted Connie and asked for an interview about the situation. Prior to that they had interviewed Paul Tralle, the Chair of the Planning & Zoning Board of Lino Lakes, being quoted below by Connie.
In an interesting turn of events, the Mayor had contacted one of the Post officers at approximately 11:15 AM informing him that the ordinance in question may be reviewed. While the Channel 9 crew was on-hand, Rhonda Savarajha, Chair of the Anoka County Commission and current candidate for Minnesota's Sixth District Congressional seat, stopped into the Legion to comment. We will be posting a link to the interviews when they become available.
